Close to home, a 30 x 30 action plan means greater land- and waterway-protection efforts in our Conservation Priority Areas, including Bowen Branch in Owen County and Sulfur Lick in Franklin County. It includes trail maintenance and invasive-species removal at our publicly accessible nature preserve, Vaughn Branch, inside Frankfort city limits. It involves more landowner engagement to establish voluntary conservation easements, protecting vital natural resources for perpetuity.
