Since Woods & Waters Land Trust’s founding, we’ve gathered each year for the Land Extravaganza fundraiser and fun-raiser. The annual event looks a little different each time but always features music, live and silent auctions featuring unique local artisans and experiences, and a chance for our community of supporters to gather at a special property in the Lower Kentucky River Watershed. Make plans to celebrate all the natural beauty we work to conserve at the next Land Extravaganza!
Save the date and come celebrate with us on Saturday, August 30, 2025
You’re invited to our celebration at Woods & Waters Land Trust’s newest conservation easement land, with a mile of Elkhorn Creek access, while we honor our watershed's beauty. Lee and Betty Troutwine are opening their special Peaks Mill property to our supporters as we toast to our community’s land-conservation efforts.

Keep Woods & Waters Land Trust in mind as we approach Kentucky Gives Day this May 13th!
This year, we're turning our focus back to The Backbone—a 43-acre wetland in Peaks Mill that you helped us protect last spring. With your support and a grant from the Imperiled Bat Conservation Fund, Woods and Waters Land Trust officially took ownership of this vital property. Now, we’re working to restore and manage it for long-term conservation.
On May 13, we’re asking for your support during Kentucky Gives Day to help Woods and Waters Land Trust fulfill its mission of protecting and connecting our open spaces and giving more people access to nature.
