Sketch and Stroll

Join our Executive Director and artist Jennifer Palmer at Vaughn Branch Nature Preserve for Sketch and Stroll.

Sketch and Stroll will feature an excursion from an artist's perspective.

Learn about composition, the visual elements, principles of design, and how to observe the natural world on your walk.

This all-ages event will feature a short discussion and a stroll through Vaughn Branch Nature Preserve. The stroll can be 5 minutes or until you find something that captives your artistic spirit. Feel free to stay as long as you like at Vaughn Branch. 

All mediums are welcome from traditional drawing and painting supplies to photography. If you are just starting your artistic journey your cell phone camera will be perfect for capturing your artistic moments.

DIRECTIONS

The parking area and trailhead are off of a gravel drive at the end of Flynn Avenue. Use 170 Flynn Ave., Frankfort to navigate to the beginning of the gravel drive. Follow the gravel drive to the trailhead. Look for signs.
