Woods and Waters Land Trust’s

14th Land Extravaganza

WWLT is an accredited land trust that permanently protects land in the Lower Kentucky River watershed through conservation easements and connecting people with nature. This watershed covers 600 square miles, stretching from Franklin to Carroll counties, impacting 10 counties.

The Land Extravaganza is WWLT’s fundraiser that features music, food, and fellowship in a natural setting. Extravaganza 2022 is on the Stutler Farm - 350 acres of forest along the scenic Kentucky River. (address on ticket; $40 in advance, $45 at door; children under 16 free).

The evening includes guided hikes at 5:30, music by CornMaiz Trio (cornmaizstringband.com) along with a scrumptious dinner starting at 6:00 p.m., a silent auction and a live auction.  All proceeds support local conservation.  To buy tickets go to woodsandwaterstrust.org/extravaganza

Dinner includes BBQ, sides, vegetarian dishes, desserts and beverages. Plates, silverware, napkins and cups are provided. Bring your own table and chairs or other picnic setup, option to “dress it up”.  The Best Dressed Table will receive two tickets for one Sunday of WWLT’s inaugural Paddle for a Purpose (Six Sundays on the Kentucky River. Sept. 25 - Oct. 30)

 

Notes:

Venue is off US-127, Owen County, a few miles passed the Franklin County line if going north.

20 minutes from downtown Frankfort.  11 minutes from West Sixth Farm.

There will be signage on US-127 and continuing along the gravel road to the site.

Parking is near site.

Event is outdoors. The site is spacious and open to social distancing.

Food will be served buffet style in a spacious building with large openings at both ends.
